Our DJs dig through the stacks to bring you the songs you might have forgotten but never stopped loving.
Every Saturday and Sunday, Pop Radio 77 devotes their airwaves to playing lost hits from the 60s, 70s, & 80s. Way Back Weekend will feature original programming dedicated to playing lost hits and forgotten gems, presented by local radio personalities: "8-Track" Eddie Mack, Dana Race, and Queen Neesh.
Featuring such programs as, Sounds of the Sixties, Classic Countdown, Saturday Night at the 80s, and more. Way Back Weekend is aired every Saturday and Sunday on Pop Radio 77 with the goal of bringing listeners old favorites they may have forgotten, as well as giving listeners the chance to discover lost classics for the first time.
The Classic Countdown
The Classic Countdown, with "8-Track" Eddie Mack, is a weekly tribute to the legendary Casey Kasem and his popular show, American Top 40. Beginning in 1970, American Top 40 was a weekly countdown of the current Top 40 hits. Every Saturday afternoon, Pop Radio 77 looks back at a specific week from the 60s, 70s, or 80s and counts down the Top 40 hits of that week.
Every week is like opening a new musical time capsule. "The Way Back Weekend is especially great because there are so many songs from the early 60's that I haven't heard for decades," says Eddie Mack. "They all get played here on the weekends. It's really a great trip back in time."
Discover classics you've never heard and rediscover old favorites you haven't heard in ages. Turn back the clock every Saturday and Sunday on Way Back Weekend. Only on Pop Radio 77.
